Dental advice for children :  Cleaning - brushing

CLEANING

Start cleaning the baby's mouth during the first few days after birth. After every feeding, wipe the baby's gums with a damp washcloth or gauze pad to remove the dental plaque formed on the surfaces of teeth and gums.

BRUSHING

Clean the first teeth with a clean damp wash cloth
After the first birthday start brushing the baby's teeth with a small and extra soft toothbrush
Give the right example to the child brushing your teeth together. Teach the right way of brushing.

After the second year start using a small quantity of toothpaste. Explain to the child that the toothpaste must NOT be swallowed.

Watch the child during brushing. Check for correct brushing and not swallowing the toothpaste.

It is essential for the child's health, the morning and night brushing to become a habit from small age.
